Right now he´s having a good time

flag and a jar,
where she´s collecting the quarters
for her good old fashioned war.

A Miles Davis´ your room-mate
he´s got William Faulkner on the wall
but instead of blowing the trumpet
he´s blowing the cannonballs
and Mona Lisa knows
too much to believe
she knows that living
is not a bad succes at least.

The wild winds are blowing
the clouds are drifting into town.
There´s high water
under every window around.

Now you only know liberty
as if it was a masterpiece.
I saw it hanging in your galleries.
But Delacroix and Géricault
they´ve surely known
the harder you try to keep it,
the sooner it will be gone.
